Screening

Aviva Cancer Centre offers a range of screening services to detect cancer at an early stage when it is more treatable. The screening services include:

1. Breast Cancer Screening

This involves a mammogram, which is an X-ray of the breast tissue. Aviva Cancer Centre uses the latest digital mammography technology (provided through our business associates) to produce high-quality images that can detect even small abnormalities in breast tissue. The centre also offers breast ultrasound and breast MRI for women with dense breast tissue or other high-risk factors.

2. Cervical Cancer Screening

This involves a Pap smear test, which is a simple procedure to collect cells from the cervix for examination under a microscope. Aviva Cancer Centre uses this investigation method for more accurate results and also offers HPV testing for women who have abnormal Pap smear results.

 

3. Colorectal Cancer Screening

This involves a colonoscopy, which is a procedure to examine the inside of the colon and rectum for polyps or other abnormal growths. Aviva Cancer Centre uses the latest technologies, such as virtual colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy, to provide less invasive and more comfortable options for patients.

 

4. Lung Cancer Screening

This involves a low-dose CT scan of the chest to detect early signs of lung cancer in high-risk individuals, such as smokers or former smokers. Aviva Cancer Centre offers state-of-the-art CT scanners (provided through our business associates) and a multidisciplinary team of experts to provide comprehensive lung cancer screening and management.

5. Prostate Cancer Screening

This involves a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and a digital rectal exam to detect early signs of prostate cancer. Aviva Cancer Centre uses advanced PSA tests and prostate MRI (provided through our business associates) for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
